Head of Operations

Marta Pellegrino

With 12 years of experience in project management, Marta leads our Operations team. A specialist in entrepreneurial training and open innovation programs, she spent five years as a researcher and consultant at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, working on Unimore’s entrepreneurship and open innovation training initiatives.
 Manager Education

Giacomo Frattola

Giacomo has led public sector projects at both national and EU levels. Over the past five years, he has overseen the launch and consolidation of innovation hubs in the Emilia-Romagna Region (RER), and currently manages design and implementation of EduTech experiences under the MakerDojo brand.

Nicola Cassandro

With a background in scientific research and consultancy, Nicola has contributed to policy projects focused on Industry 4.0 skills, human capital, digital transition, and future of work for major public and private clients. He specializes in identifying and designing proposals funded by public and foundation grants.

Pier Paolo Pentucci Ph.D

Pier Paolo brings over 15 years of experience in project and financial management of funded programs. A former Postdoc Research Fellow at Ca’ Foscari University’s Department of Management (2006–2012), he also served as Senior Project Manager at the Municipality of Venice’s EU Policy Department.

Alessia Mastroleo

Alessia has extensive experience advising local and national Public Administrations on designing, managing, monitoring, and reporting EU-funded structural programs. She excels in project management, team coordination, and stakeholder relations. 
Senior officer Admin & GATE Centre Pisa

Anna Andreoni

With over 25 years of experience in administration, finance, and control, Anna has worked across private firms and third‑sector organizations. She managed European and non‑European project accounting for IMED in Rome, and since 2018 oversees operations at the GATE Centre in Pisa, while maintaining key functions within the firm’s Administration department.

Barbara Bulf

Responsible for marketing & sales operations in EduTech activities, Barbara holds a Master in Languages for Communication in International Enterprises from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She champions STEM education and inclusive learning environments for young people.
 Officer Tender and Procurement

Federica Spina

Federica has experience in Public Administration managing and reporting European funds (PNRR and REACT EU). With a degree in Economics and Cultural Activities Management, she has supported ministries and third‑sector entities in urban regeneration projects and procurement planning.

Gerardo Gervasio

Gerardo holds a Master’s in Economics and Law from the University of Bologna. Passionate about innovation and startups, he has worked with organizations supporting young talent and entrepreneurs. Today he supports the Entrepreneurship area, assisting startups and fostering new opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs.

Marco Serra

With a degree in Mass Media & Politics and seven years of experience in digital marketing and project management, Marco supports digital campaigns and internal change management projects for GATE REI group of companies. He also assists in managing complex contracts for public and private clients.

Claudia Capasso

Claudia has over ten years of experience managing complex projects across diverse sectors, with deep expertise in business development and strategic growth. She has led high-impact initiatives in over ten countries, collaborating with public entities and large corporates to build strategic partnerships and enhance organizational impact.

Innovation Program Specialist

Valeria Di Luzio

Valeria collaborated with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia on youth entrepreneurship and innovation projects, supporting startup development and cross-sector collaboration among students, researchers, and businesses. She facilitated transformative co-design processes for the ECOSISTER project at the Marco Biagi Foundation. At GATE REI, she designs and manages incubation and acceleration programs, supports early-stage teams, and activates high-impact stakeholder relationships.
